Such complicated cases were not supported by the search console; For example, using a query with one of the few optional strings. The new regex filter can be used by creating a query / page filter, then clicking the drop-down menu and finally selecting Custom.

There are also cases when users cannot use queries and pages to protect user privacy. Another reason for this can be memory restrictions. In both cases, Google will display a reminder when the appropriate filter is used on queries or pages.

Improved comparison mode

A comparison mode of the search console is used to answer any doubts that website owners may have about the comparison of the various metrics. Previously, the table did not have a comparison column showing the relative percentage difference when more than a single metric was selected.

The new version launched by Google can do more than just support metrics, and this UI improvement has almost doubled the area specified for the data table. This made it very easy to see results on the same level. This improved version also supports the new Regex filter created for queries and pages.

One thing to note here is that while more than one metric can now be compared when it comes to application, only one can be applied at a time. When you add a new metric, the new one replaces the existing one.
