TikTok said in a blog post that the platform has already had over 800 million video views under the hashtag #NativeTikTok, more than 100 million under #IndigenousPeoplesDay, nearly 5 million under #NativeAmericanTikTok and over 600,000 under #NativeFamily.
The company wrote: “Native American Heritage Month is more than recognition and recognition. The diversity of backgrounds, experiences and interests in our #NativeFamily should be shared, expanded and celebrated. This is why we invite the TikTok community to join us as we launch a month long educational, inspiring and uplifting program about the beautiful culture and complex history of #NativeFamily. "
